First EADIM certificate week “a fireworks display of ideas and inspiration” – U.K. delegate

Delegates from 14 countries came from as far away as Australia and South Africa for the first ever week’s European Academy of Direct and Interactive Marketing training.

The “fireworks” comment was typical. “The most valuable week since I learnt to write and count,” said one European DMA head. The head of another DMA agreed: “If you want to meet professionals, receive many practical tips, know more about DM, you should join this course! Everything was very inspiring, great ideas!”

“I could not sleep yesterday because of all these ideas were rushing in my mind,” said a credit card manager with a leading European bank. A Romanian PR manager for Volkswagen said: “It was the most valuable week of my life. I learned a lot and I’m very pleased that I had the opportunity to be in Brussels together with so talented speakers.”

Delegates loved the intimacy. “This was a wonderful week I spent. I couldn’t imagine before that it’d be possible. And that is not only because of the world famous DM practitioners, but the way all the course was conducted. Seems all who participated felt like they were met long ago and despite large gap in own experiences it felt like family,” said one.

EADIM 2008 was a year-long course starting with a week in Brussels followed by webinars, exercises and an examination. It covered everything from strategy and planning to database, creative and production – delegates visited the Kodak Demo Centre to see the latest print technology. Lecturers came from the U.S, UK, Denmark, Slovenia, Australia and Spain.

Bookings for 2009 have already been made. Numbers are limited to 40.

But unlike 2008 this year’s course is in London and comprises of an intensive one week face-to-face training plus 10 webinars over 10 months after the week.
